Back in action

I apologize for the lack of posts the last few weeks, but with papers coming due and then finals, there just wasn’t enough time.  Happily, that is all behind me so regular posting will resume.  Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!

Father Barron on Advent

Father Barron has something good to say (as he always does) on Advent.  May this time of Advent expand our hearts so that we can receive God more fully this Christmas!

It’s Friday

So that means it’s time for Caffeinated Randomness…

  • My friend Shane and I have been discussing my post on the Ascension (it’s right below).  What do you think: did Jesus have to go?  If so or if not, why?
  • So I’ve decided to go over to the dark side and am buying a Mac.  Anyone have thoughts on the Macbook vs Macbook Air vs Macbook Pro?
  • I’m really sad Flash Forward got canceled – such a good show!  There’s something wrong with the world when shows like Joan of Arcadia & FF get cut but Ghost Whisperer and Fringe get renewed.
  • Lastly, one of my good friends is taking the MCAT this morning.  Say a prayer for her please!

Time for some of IHOP’s French Vanilla coffee – yum yum

It’s That Time Again

Some Caffeinated Randomness…

  • It’s hard to believe that in a little over a month I’ll be leaving NY and not returning until Thanksgiving!  This is going to make me sound like a 3rd grader, but this will be the longest I’ve ever been away!
  • Been trying to learn to play “I Can Only Imagine” and “Open the Eyes of My Heart” on the guitar.  I wish I could say learning to play, but alas, trying to learn is the right phrase.  I am such a spaz when it comes to strumming patterns.  I need it all laid out for me – I can’t pick anything up on my own.
  • A special thanks to everyone for all of your prayers!  I am actually starting to understand the stuff in my philosophy class, which is nothing short of a miracle!  And highly convenient since my midterm is next week =)
  • Thursday the Church celebrated the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima.  Definitely a stop I hope I have time for when I’m in Europe next year!
  • Has anyone else read Wild At Heart by John Eldridge?  I just finished it and it’s given me a whole lot to think about.  Will definitely read his second book.  Any thoughts on it?
